There are 5 phases in the website design process.
1. Gathering to Plan Site Design and Define Requirements
The design process begins with a conversation to discuss site requirements in detail. We will clearly define the goals and objectives of the website, define your target market and discuss what features will be included in your website design plan. Our goal is to define the website purpose, target audience, site content, look & feel of website (branding).
2. First Draft of Website
Based on the information gathering with the client, our design team gets to work creating the first draft of your website. When this is complete, you will get your first glimpse of your new website. This will allow you and other principles in your company to take a walk-through and provide feedback based on this draft design.
3. Revisions of the Draft Website
The revision process allows the client to use that first draft and shape it into what the final design will become. This is the process of not only getting the look & feel of the site exactly how you want it but to begin adding content to the home page and inner pages of the site with graphics. This is what we call our working copy of the website until the final design is approved.
4. Finalize Draft and Approve Design
After successive improvements to the first draft, the website has taken shape and is now ready for final approval. All content will have been added and formatted, all links tested, browser compatibility has been tested and the site is ready for final approval. This is an important time to make any last minute changes before the site goes live.
5. Website Launch
Your brand new website will be launched live on your web server. If the website has content management features or e-commerce, we will also provide training to you and your employees with how to use the content management and manage inventory and orders for e-commerce websites.
